Kamal Vidyalaya

Proposing a CBSE skill-based school for tribal and underprivileged children in Savale and nearby villages of Karjat, our aim is to empower students with life skills such as farming, design, coding, and more. Emphasizing sports and extracurricular activities, we believe in experiential learning, providing nutritious meals and holistic development.

Spanning 1.5 acres, our facility boasts a state-of-the-art 20,000sqft building with 16 classrooms, laboratories, library, and activity rooms, alongside dedicated sports facilities including a basketball court, multipurpose field, and a 60m running track. Our vision is to nurture young leaders connected to their roots and nature, bringing quality education to rural India for holistic growth. Kamal Vidyalaya aims to guide every child towards achieving their dreams.

OUR STORY

Where it all started

During the Covid-19 lockdown, our founder Namrata Sharma transformed her life from the bustling city of Mumbai to making Savale her new hometown. With spare time, Namrata initiated extra classes for caretakers' children on her Karjat farm. Recognizing the educational gaps, she decided to establish a school for tribal and underprivileged children.

Currently operating from 8 portacabins, we have 80 students embarking on their preschooling journey. Committed to an enjoyable and effective learning experience, we align with the New Education Policy (NEP). Our dream is to build a school in Savale, Karjat, and we seek your support!

CHAIRPERSON’S MESSAGE

It’s time to give back to the society

Through personal experiences, engaging with rural communities in Karjat, I recognized the imperative for a skill-based school and vocational training to empower villagers academically and for employment. Thus, Kamal Vidyalaya was initiated, spanning pre-primary to Higher Secondary, aligned with the New Education Policy. Our educational approach prioritizes skill and experiential learning, promoting holistic development through healthcare and free nutritious meals.

While the official launch of our 20,000 sqft school building is set for July 2024, we currently operate from portacabins, offering preschool and diverse subjects. As we eagerly await the new building, constructing it is a significant and costly endeavor. We seek support to realize our dream of community service.
